The Southborough Education Foundation seeks to foster
educational excellence by providing funding, through community
support, for innovative programs
that enhance the educational experience of students in the Southborough Public Schools.
Through direct funding to teachers, SEF grants empower motivated faculty to initiate forward-thinking, creative programs, which may otherwise not receive funding through the annual school budget. Since its inception, the Southborough Education Foundation had distributed over $400,000 in grants for innovative programming and new technologies. Our grants are funded entirely by private contributions and through fundraisers like Red Apple and the Annual Fundraising Event.
SEF grants are not meant to be one-offs, but rather to pave the way for the future of education in Southborough Public Schools. SEF grants allow teachers to experiment with emerging technologies, such as interactive projection screens, and adaptive learning software. Many of our grants have become permanent fixtures in our schools, such as the traverse climbing wall at Finn and the outdoor classroom at Woodward.
